Maria Butyrskaya spoke about Alena Kostornaia’s emotions at the Russian Grand Prix in Omsk.

Kostornaya paired with Georgy Kunitsa took fourth place at the tournament. The figure skater criticized the judging in an interview after rolling the free skating program.

“In pairs skating there should be a lot of trust in the partner, there should be a calibrated, correct relationship. Alena must realize that she is no longer alone, that there is a person around for whom she is also responsible. I think Kostornaya has matured and wised up to realize this.

Emotions are good, but only when they spill out in programs, to the public. Sometimes you have to have a little patience.

In sports, it’s important to have patience. If you are hurt, offended, you put these emotions in one place and continue to work, and most importantly prove to yourself that you can do it,” Butyrskaya said.
