The date of the decision on the doping case of figure skater Kamila Valieva has become known. According to USA Today journalist Christine Brennan, the decision will be announced on January 29.

“Breaking: I’m hearing that the long-awaited Court of Arbitration for Sport decision on the Kamila Valieva doping case is coming Monday — almost two years after the team figure skating competition at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.” – Brennan wrote on social media X.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport is investigating a doping case in which Valieva tested positive for trimetazidine in December 2021. The information about doping became known only during the 2022 Olympics, where the figure skater won the team event as a member of the Russian national team. The awarding was postponed because of the investigation that began. Hearings on Valiyeva’s case in the Court of Arbitration for Sport took place in September and November.
