Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri assessed their lead at the European Championships.
Today the duo from Italy won the rhythm dance with 86.80 points.
“It was one of the best rhythm dances of the season for us. The scores don’t always reflect that, we realized that long ago. More important are our feelings. So we are very satisfied – both with the rolling and the scores, to be honest. The intermediate result after the first day allows us to exhale a little and calmly prepare for the free dance.
Today we had some special connection with the audience, it doesn’t always happen. How much easier it is to skate when you feel these emotions, you can relax and enjoy yourself and not think about the elements,” Fabbri said.
“In Kaunas, the training rink and the main rink are different sizes, so in the morning we skated on narrower ice, we didn’t get to do the rolling at full capacity, but in the evening we managed to do it already. I saw our coach Barbara Fusar-Poly lighting up the rink, it also gave us energy, she is the best,” said Ginyar.
