Winners of the Four Continents Championships in ice dancing, Canadian skaters Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier expressed their impressions of their victory in Shanghai, China.
“We’re very pleased. It’s such a milestone in our career, so we’re very proud to be able to win a competition at this level at this stage of our career. We’re really proud of the way we skated. We really believed in ourselves this week,” the International Skating Union (ISU) press office quoted Poirier as saying.
“I think we knew how solid the performance was going to be. I felt like we both thought through the whole performance to make sure we were moving together,” Gilles added.
