Eteri Tutberidze has revealed details of Alexandra Trusova’s departure from her group.
In May 2020, Trusova left Tutberidze for Evgeny Plushenko. A year later, in May 2021, the figure skater came back again.
– What was going on when she left?
– Sashka came and, as usual, with such a guilty look, said that she was tired of everything and she needed a change of scenery. So you’re sick of us? Well, yes.
– When she came back, we asked her if she missed us.
– I already realized at the World Championships that she’d be back. You know, when a person doesn’t avoid the gaze, but seeks it. She was already looking for that look.
She was being very nasty to her coach because she was running away from him.
She was warming up on her own, she went out on the ice on her own, she didn’t even approach him. It wasn’t pretty, but it was clear. I realized that they have some kind of conflict,” Tutberidze said in an interview on the YouTube channel “Comment.Show”.
