Tatiana Tarasova on Tutberidze’s words about Valiyeva’s doping: “All the words said by the coach sound very unconvincing”.

Tarasova noted that Tutberidze’s statements regarding Valieva’s doping case were unconvincing. By the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Kamila Valieva was disqualified for four years, after which her coach, Eteri Tutberidze, expressed her opinion: “Regarding the verdict I have one main question – did anyone defend Kamila at the hearing? Because the verdict couldn’t have been worse”.

“How will Eteri Tutberidze be treated now? The way we are, that’s how we will be treated. I thought I knew Eteri, but the situation with Kamila Valieva broke me. All the words said by the coach sound very unconvincing.

Do we have any chance of an appeal? I don’t know if anyone defended Kamila in the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It seems to me that no one defended her, it is evident from the court’s decision. Or she was defended by unprofessional people who have no experience in such work.

The coach says she doesn’t know who defended her student, a world star figure skater. Is this a joke? Why didn’t the coach do it herself? In my opinion, it was she who, together with professional lawyers, should have been involved in the defense of Kamila Valieva.

In this situation I have an analogy with the proverb “my house is on the edge and I know nothing”, – said the honored coach of the USSR Tatiana Tarasova.
