Rinka Watanabe performed a triple axel at the Four Continents Championships

Japanese figure skater successfully performed a triple axel at the Four Continents competition. During the free skating program, 21-year-old Rinka Watanabe flawlessly performed a triple axel. However, during the performance she performed a single instead of a triple lutz, and the other two jumps were performed with an underspin on landing.

The judges rated the Japanese woman’s performance at 134.95 points. With a total of 202.17 points, Watanabe became the bronze medalist of the tournament.
