Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara had only two weeks to prepare for the Four Continents Championship
Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara, the Japanese figure skaters who finished second in the pairs at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2024, shared their experience of preparing for this competition.
“We had very limited time for training and we are happy to be able to present a full program here,” said Riku Miura, quoted by the International Skating Union (ISU) press office.
“We made the decision to participate in the Four Continents Championships last December. The final decision was made in the second week of January this year and it was in the last two weeks that we started training for the short program. Last week we started training for the free program. We really didn’t have enough time, but thanks to our efforts we were able to compete,” Kihara shared his experience.
