Margarita Bazyliuk: “I’m still small, I’m jumping. When I grow up, I hope I’ll jump too.”
Margarita Bazylyuk after the free program at the Russian Junior Championships 2024:
“I’m still small, I’m jumping. When I grow up, I hope I will also jump. I think the most important thing at this start is clean performances. The medal doesn’t matter to me, now I needed to skate a purely program. The judges had to decide which place I would take. I want to thank the audience for having such an active audience that was constantly supporting. How will I celebrate the victory? I’ll sit with my parents and sisters at the table. Will I allow myself something high in calories? I allow myself every day.
I’m already thinking about whether I can maintain my jumps when I grow up? Everyone experiences puberty, you have to live through it and that’s it. I’m not afraid that things will get harder next. I am encouraged along the way by coaches, family and my strong character.
What was more difficult: the Russian junior championship or the jumping championship? At the jumping championship, I did my favorite thing – jumping. And here it was necessary to assemble the entire program, rotate and show emotions, convey them. And in addition, jump,” said Margarita Bazyliuk.
