– I find it fun to learn how to jump the other way. I’ve already learned all the jumps with my left foot – now it’s interesting to do them with my right foot. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, I want to be able to jump both ways consistently.
The goal is to master all triples. I don’t know about quadruples, it took me 11 years to learn them. And it might take another 11 years to jump them on the other foot, ha ha.
I’ve mastered almost all the doubles, and if I practice more, triples are definitely not a problem. I’m still struggling with the double lutz, though – I’m struggling with it, it turns out it’s quite a difficult jump. I don’t understand how it happened that the double axel was easier for me than the lutz. – World figure skating champion Ilia Malinin told Sports.ru
