“Just the very fact that I’m a figure skater and I’ve been a figure skater all my life…. Man, I’ve been winning world championships and European championships in my underwear. We have a transparent skirt, we have elements that we stand ass upside down in our underwear.
Basically, I’ve lived my whole life in a field where we are very sexualized. Even some male trainers can say, like, “Have you lost weight? Your tits are getting smaller.” In our sphere, a figure skater equals beauty, equals appreciating a woman’s beauty, equals not denying yourself anything.
I grew up in a sphere where it is even sometimes normal to hear from men, like: “Why are your tits so small? The components will be small, you need to have a sexy shape!”. And we’re like: “Ah, well. Yeah, yeah, I’ll go put on a push-up!” – Medvedeva said
