Canadian figure skater Deschamps says he suffers from ADD: ‘It’s reminiscent of a roller coaster’
Canadian figure skater Maxime Deschamps has said he suffers from ADHD.
Deschamps competes in pairs skating with Deanna Stellato-Dudek. They won the Canadian Grand Prix on Oct. 29.
“Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is like a roller coaster. It can make life difficult, but at the same time it pushes you to improve.
When I go out to compete, I find it very easy to concentrate. This mostly manifests itself at home, on a daily basis.
It creates challenges to overcome, but it also helps develop relationships. We [with Stellato-Dudek] get to know each other better and we can deal with it,” Deschamps revealed.
