Aliona Kostornaia and Georgy Kunitsa will miss the Spartakiade due to the injury of their partner.
“I will not take part in the Spartakiade. I have a shoulder injury. Recovery will take about 4-5 months,” Match TV quoted Kostornaya as saying.
“Guys, as you noticed, our pair is not in the lists of participants in the Spartakiad. Unfortunately, I had a shoulder injury, which has been bothering me for a long time, but we continued to train and compete.
Now we decided that it will be right to heal the injury and skip the competitions for surgery, so that we can recover by September and please you on the competition ice.

Aliona Kostornaia’s coach told about her upcoming shoulder surgery.
