Tutberidze awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky
Merited Russian figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
The decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the awarding of state awards appeared on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Among Tutberidze trainees are Olympic champions Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alina Zagitova, and two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva. Currently, she trains Olympic champions Kamila Valieva and Anna Shcherbakova, as well as Olympic silver medalist Alexandra Trusova.
In 2022, Eteri Tutberidze was awarded the highest national coaching certification.
Tatiana Tarasova, an honorary coach of the USSR in figure skating, commented on the awarding of coach Etheri Tutberidze with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
“I am very happy for Etteri. Of course, an honorable award – all awards are always honorable. Absolutely deserved,” said Tarasova
