Sofia Akatieva is still only recovering triple jumps.
“I started jumping after I regained my glide and felt my body. I started first with single jumps, then double and triple jumps. I recovered salchow, tulup, ritberger, double axel and cascades.
There was no fear. Maybe during the first jump it was somehow unusual. If you are afraid, it will only get worse: your body will start to clench and you can fall. It’s better to just go for the jump. Of course, I don’t always do it myself. Usually, if it’s a quadruple or triple axel, it’s exciting. But you still have to fight the fear and go.
Now I am recovering triple lutz and flip, gradually work and strive to go forward,” said Akatieva sport24
