Mai Mihara has withdrawn from the Chinese Grand Prix due to injury
Japanese figure skater Mai Mihara will not perform at the Chinese Grand Prix.
The athlete has not had time to recover from an ankle injury.
“Although I did my best to train and undergo treatment in preparation for the competition, I had to make the very unpleasant decision to withdraw.
I would like to recover properly and work hard in training to perform well at the next stage,” said Mihara.
The Chinese Grand Prix will be held from Nov. 10 to 12. Mihara is also entered for the Grand Prix stage in Japan, which will be held from November 24 to 26.
