Kaori Sakamoto shared her impressions of her performance in the free program at the Grand Prix Final
The Japanese figure skater won with 148.35 points in the free skating and 225.70 on the sum of the two programs.
“It took me a lot of effort. Although I made a mistake on the flip and accelerated a bit, I was able to add a double jump to my triple rittberger.
It was very important for me to overcome myself and I’m glad I was able to accomplish that. Having weaknesses motivates me to work hard.
This season I have been able to start successfully at the Grand Prix stages and I hope to continue in the same way. Finishing first in all the events up to the finals will give me more confidence for the future,” Sakamoto said.
