Kamila Valieva expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for his support: “Thank you for your love and kind words.”
Valieva attended the opening ceremony of the Future Games fijtal tournament held in Kazan on February 21. The figure skater took a seat in the stands next to the Russian president.
“Sport has been and remains a huge part of my life, and I am happy to see that our country pays such attention to its development!
I was at the opening ceremony of the Future Games – a new international tournament in fijital style, a mix of sports and virtual reality.
This is a completely new format that no one has ever done in the world before. Spectators will see spectacular matches in soccer, hockey, basketball in the fijital format, as well as competitions in such innovative sports as robot battles and drone races. I think it will be unforgettable!
About 2 thousand athletes from more than 100 countries will take part in the competition. This once again confirms the fact that our country is not isolated from the rest of the world, but is developing and feels great on the world stage!
If you are in Kazan, be sure to visit the Games of the Future!” – the figure skater wrote.
“We are the first country to organize such an international tournament, and this is a huge merit of our president, I am insanely grateful to him.
I want to once again express my huge gratitude to you for supporting me in a very difficult period. Thank you for your love and kind words.
I hope that despite everything, our country will only grow stronger and create new world formats,” Valieva said.
