In the doping sample of Kamila Valieva was found a drug with anabolic effect. Which allegedly also affected the severity of the decision.

During the 2022 Beijing Olympics, The New York Times reported that in addition to the banned trimetazidine, Valieva’s sample contained two authorized drugs – hypoxen and L-carnitine.
According to Finnish broadcaster Yle, the figure skater’s tests contained another drug that has an anabolic effect but is not currently on the banned list.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is considering banning the drug.
