Olympic champion Megan Duhamel said the doping case of Kamila Valieva was “ridiculous.
Specifically, the Canadian responded to journalist Kristin Brennan’s post that Valiyeva’s hearing before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will likely not take place until August 2023.
“This is truly the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened in sports,” Duhamel tweeted.
Valieva tested positive for trimetazidine at the Russian Championships in December 2021.
