Amber Glenn performs a triple axel at the U.S. Grand Prix: “It was incredible, but then I lost concentration.”
American Amber Glenn is happy to have performed a triple axel at the U.S. Grand Prix.
According to the results of the competition, the figure skater took fifth place. In the free skating program after the triple axel, she fell from the triple flip and lutz, and also did a butterfly on the loop.
“It felt incredible landing that 3A in competition in front of my home crowd. For me it felt normal at first like in every day practice but the crowd was so energized.
But my own energy of the excitment “killed me”. I lost my focus. I never had the adrenalin experience of landing it in competition. It is one thing to visualise it and the other to experience it.” – Glenn said.
