Eteri Tutberidze gave RUSADA’s written testimony in the Kamila Valieva case.

They were published in the motivation part of the decision on the website of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Tutberidze said that the doctors who provided medical support to Valieva were Dr. Shumakov and Dr. Adamov.

Dr. Shvetsky was the “mobile doctor of the national figure skating team” – he was attached to Tutberidze’s group and traveled to competitions with the team.

Tutberidze said she “did not control or discuss with the team doctors the medications and supplements given to the team’s athletes.”

She said she was aware that Dr. Shvetsky had previously been accused of violating anti-doping rules, but did not see this as a problem, given that “he does not supervise treatment or provide medical support to the athletes, but organizes additional medical supervision, consultations, and accompanies the team to competitions as a sports doctor for first aid.”

The Russian Figure Skating Federation had no objections to Dr. Shvetsky’s appointment as team doctor.
