Today Gubanova was second in the short program (66.73 points) at the stage in France. The former Russian figure skater now represents Georgia.
“Nastia is good, and she is clamped components on purpose – this is such a test for the endurance of her nerves. Because if she can withstand this pressure from the judges – even yes, I can swing in, say it’s pressure from the judges – it will be very cool. And when they finally do put her on – she’s going to be put on straight. I believe in it, I’m really looking forward to the moment when there will finally be normal grades,” said Medvedeva, a two-time world champion.
